Words from the artist...
I strive for a realistic, external representation of my subject, while also offering an insight into the mind of both myself and the subject – a visual experience in human consciousness. I draw heavily from the expressive power of music and modern art styles like fauvism and expressionism and blend it together with realism into one cohesive image. I don't like to think of myself as an artist, or a photographer, or an athlete, but as all those things together and more, and I apply the same mindset to my art. The challenge of creating in an era where it seems everything has already been done, excites me. I take in from each of the styles that shape the way I perceive the world, then spit back out my own materialized experience.
